How to Play 7-0
7-0 is a World Cup squad builder and draft simulator. Your goal: draft 11 legendary players from World Cup history (1970–2026) and simulate an entire World Cup tournament. Win all 7 matches to achieve the perfect 7-0.
Step 1: Choose Your Formation
Pick from three formations: 4-3-3, 4-4-2, or 4-2-3-1. Each formation has 11 position slots you need to fill. Your formation affects how players fit—a striker can't play goalkeeper.
Step 2: Choose Your Mode
Classic Draft — Full stats visible. See every player's PAC, SHO, PAS, DRI, DEF, and PHY before you pick.
Blind Draft — Stats hidden. You draft by name and reputation alone. Do you really know your football history?
Daily Challenge — Same draft for everyone, every day. Compare scores on the leaderboard.
Step 3: Draft Your Squad
Each round, the slot machine spins and lands on a national team + World Cup year (e.g., Brazil 2002 or France 2018). From that squad, pick one player and place them in a matching position on your pitch.
You get 2 Re-rolls if you don't like the squad you've been dealt. Use them wisely.
Step 4: Simulate the Tournament
After filling all 11 positions, your team enters a simulated World Cup:
- Group Stage — 3 matches. You need at least 4 points to advance.
- Round of 16 — Single elimination begins.
- Quarter-final → Semi-final → Final — Win or go home.
Opponents get tougher each round. Your team's performance is calculated from player stats, positions, and era adjustments (modern players get a slight edge over 1970s legends in raw numbers, but all-time greats are still elite).
The 7-0 Dream
Win all 7 matches = 7-0. It's the ultimate achievement. Your name goes on the leaderboard in gold.
Tips
- Balance your squad — don't draft 5 strikers
- Era adjustments matter — 2020s players have slightly higher effective stats
- Defense wins championships — a strong backline keeps you alive in knockouts
- Re-rolls are precious — save them for when you genuinely can't fill a needed position
